Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, green cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
- Toast the spices for 3 to 5 minutes or until fragrant.
- Remove the spices from the heat and let it cool completely.
- Grind the spices in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle until they are a fine powder.
- Store the garam masala in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
