Here’s a simple and delicious tomato sauce recipe:

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion and cook until it becomes slightly caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Sauté the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, being careful not to let it brown.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes. Stir to combine with the onions and garlic.
  4. Add the Spice Tribe's Aged Anchovy Salt and Porcini Paradiso Italian Blend. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.
  6. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. If you prefer a smoother sauce, you can use an immersion blender to blend it to your desired consistency.
  7. Stir in the fresh basil leaves (if using) and serve with pasta or anything else!
