Our Late Harvest Black Peppercorns are vine ripened until red before drying giving them a ruby hue and a unique fruity spice that we grind fresh on nearly every dish.
California Dried Garlic: In California’s fertile San Joaquin Valley, family farms have been growing garlic from heirloom seeds for generations. Much of the 25,000 acres of garlic is destined for drying. For cooks, dried garlic is less temperamental in a hot skillet than chopped raw garlic.
California Dried Onion: Our California onions grow from heirloom seeds planted in the rich soil of the central San Joaquin Valley. Highly pungent when fresh, these onions have even more flavor and aroma when dried. They add a rich, toasty flavor to a wide variety of dishes, from soups to salad dressings.
We purchase what we need every year right after the spices are harvested. These spices are as fresh as you can get. They are not sitting in a warehouse for multiple years. The oldest spices we carry will be one year old compared to the commodity market which warehouses spices for 10+ years before selling them to you.
Unfortunately we do not have any certifications at this time but most of our spices are organically grown and all of them are non gmo. Each ingredient can be traced back to its origin. Email hello@spicetribe.com for any questions.
